Meet Pastor Lockee
James Lockee was born to of the late Rev. and Mrs. A.A. Lockee of Gaston County. He surrendered to the call to preach the gospel in 1954. Shortley after, he attended Gardner-Webb College in Boiling Springs, NC and Baptist Evangelist School of Texas. Later, Bro. James graduated from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute and completed his graduate work at Luther Rice Seminary.
He has been the pastor of four churches in his lifetime. First there was Rocky Face Baptist in Taylorsville, NC. Next he was pastor of Locust Grove Baptist in New Albany, Miss. Then he pastored at Liledoun Baptist also of Taylorsville, NC. And for 38 years of his pastorate he was at West Lenoir Baptist in Lenoir, NC where he serves as Pastor Emeritus. He again is now the pastor at Liledown Baptist Church in Taylorsville, NC.
Pastor James Lockee is founder and President of West Lenoir School of Ministry, a Baptist Bible school that helps equip called men of God to preach the Word of God.
